John P. Coons, age 64 years, died at his home in West Hollow, Monday morning, June 22, following a long illness. Mr. Coons had been suffering with heart trouble and his death came sudden.
Mr. Coons was born March 24, 1878, the son of William and Cynthia Coons of South Bristol. He had spent his entire life in
that town and Naples, with the exception of a year in Honeoye.
On December 30, 1907 he was married to Miss Maud Parker, daughter of William and Rosena Parker of South Bristol.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Lester W. and Glenn W. Coons of Naples; also three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 2:30 p. m., from the home, with the Rev. D. M. Ratcliff, officiating. Burial
will be made in Rose Ridge cemetery. - The Naples News June 24, 1942
