Chauncey P. Finger
, one of the oldest residents of the town of Saugerties, died very suddenly on Wednesday afternoon, as he was seated on a mowing machine cutting hay on the farm of his son-in-law, Wallace Dederick
, at Katsbaan. Mr. Finger's death was pronounced due to heart trouble by Dr. B. W. Gifford when he was called. He was in his 82d year. Mr. Finger was an earnest and devout member of the Methodist Church of Saugerties. He was also a 60-year member of William H. Raymond Lodge, No. 59, I. O O. F. He was held in high esteem by friends and acquaintances. Deceased is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Wallace Dederick
